The district's traditional performing arts have a history of nearly 300 years, and have been passed down from generation to generation by this group since 1965. It is a dance to wish for a bountiful harvest, composed of nine dances that follow the steps of the rice harvest. Suzukawa Elementary School performs the three dances of Oshogatsu (rice field tilling), Goshaku Tenugui (rice reaping), and Agarihaka (harvest). At the present, the 5th grade students have taken on the dance, and perform it at local temples and shrines, including Yamaga Kokuzo-do, .and other local events.
