This group was formed in October 2003, and holds regular scheduled practice and instruction sessions for elementary school children to increase the numbers of Taiko drummers for the Tsuyabayashi marching band. The group also brings together other Taiko drumming groups and, encouraged by daily practice, they all take part in the yearly Taiko Festival. It is hoped that through these activities, more importance will be fostered towards the local Shinjo Festival and that it will also promote exchange activities that bring more economic stimulus to the local area.
The Tsuyabayashi marching band is one of 20 marching bands that take part in the yearly Shinjo Festival.
