Sakegawa Stream Taiko Drums (traditional Japanese drumming) was founded in 1987 (63th year of Showa period) in order to vitalize the village. The members who have been instructed by Ryuzan, founder of the Oshu Sabane School of taiko drumming, are devoted to tirelessly developing their skills.
They perform taiko drumming at events such as Sakegawa Village’s salmon festival.
